There were a lot of changes implemented today.  In addition to the fix to help higher ranked citizens, here are a few other changes you should know about:

• You now get a passive defense bonus for every member in your entourage and every entourage in which you hold a position.

This way, entourages now have benefits in addition to being a way to honor your friends and those who have helped you out.

• New users will now start with 2 construction companies and 10000 gold.

This change will help the “newbies” to get rolling in the game much faster and much easlier.

• Everyone’s daily upkeep gold credit has been increased from 3000 gold to 4000 gold.

It’s a great day if you’re a warrior up top.  Recently a lot of high ranked citizens have been frustrated because they’ve been unable to attack anyone.  Well, today, that was fixed.  Now, if you’re a duke (a player 100+) you’re able to attack anyone higher ranked than you.  This should help to get thing rolling a bit more in the game.

Yesterday, Prince Thibaut Barth (currently ranked 4th) nuked the world.  He had a record 144 Chemical Labs.  These labs were so powerful that when he rained TGR on the world, citizens were hit so hard, many had negative soldiers and scholars.  Only a fortunate few survived the attacks unscathered.  An attack at this scale was something that had not been seen before and revealed some major bugs that needed to be fixed (mainly the negative soldiers/scholars).  Due to this, the creator Don decided that it was time for another rollback.  So deja vu, if you found yourself doing the same thing you did yesterday, that’s why.  Hopefully, the problem is solved, and the citizens of KOTW will be more prepared for next time…and yes, I said next time. 

Hey guys!  Sorry I haven’t been writing recently.  A lot has been going on in real life.  However, now things have calmed down, and I’m finding that I have a lot more time on my hands.  That means, I’m here to bring you the latest news from the kingdom again.  Stay tuned for more coming here at the Crown Prince.

Sorry guys that I haven’t been active the past few days.  Between being out of town and storms causing power outages, I haven’t been on the internet.  But I’m back again, with another KOTW’s Got Talent!  This time, we have photography by Aviad of VICtorians.

In our first episode of KOTW’s Got Talent, the first ever KOTW talent show, Adam Jesse Thompson performs Chopin’s Polonaise In A Major “Military”.

I was talking with some of my KOTW friends, and found that there is a lot of hidden talent in KOTW. Now, I’m interested in seeing it! So, here’s what I’d like to do…if you have some talent (other than dominating a fb game) let me know on my wall (please don’t post it here or on the KOTW boards thread because it ruins the fun of the surprises). If you’re an artist, send me some of your artwork. If you write stories, poetry, etc. go ahead and send it to me. If you play an instrument, perform, can do some weirdo thing, or anything that you can’t send in a wall post or whatever, video tape it or record it and send it to me. Please make whatever you send appropriate for all ages (nothing obscene, gross, etc.). So…in other words, I guess this is the first KOTW talent show…let’s see what you got!

A new alliance immerged in KOTW just in the past week or two: Wastelanders of Aragon .  We sat down with one of the leaders of the alliance, Shanna Allen, and talked about the story behind the creation of this new group.

Claire: So…how did your alliance get started?

Shanna: Well, its a little bit of a story behind it.  Brennen and i have worked together since we were in the Anarchy alliance. When we moved over to the Vanguard alliance we made a pact we’d stick together no matter where we went. Then I met Sue, and we became a trio triangle. If something happened to one of us, then all three of us would go. Trouble started to uprise in the Vanguard alliance and our leader started giving us trouble. He wasn’t around as much, started doing strange things. The alliance started to fall apart. So I suggested to Brennen and Sue that we create the Wastelanders of Aragorn as a secret allaince. We could all join and that way we’d have some sort of protection in case something happened while one of us was away on vacation.

Just as we suspected, i was accused of conversing with the REMS and was seen as a security threat to the alliance, the day after i left for vacation. So Brennen, Sue and the others decided to pull the alliance we had created out of hiding and make it public in the world of KOTW.

Claire: Hm…were you actually a spy for the Remnants?

No of course not! i’d never spy for anyone

Claire: So, if you never spied, you were accused unjustly?

Shanna: Indeed I was. and then the Vanguards never even gave me a chance to defend myself.

Claire: Wow, so your friends and you started Wastelanders.  Tell me about the purpose of this alliance.

Shanna: We are just here to bring back the original reasons of the game. To have fun and to fight to the death.

Claire: Have you accomplished that goal yet?

Shanna: I can not speak for the whole alliance, however from the people i have been working closely in the alliance, mainly sue and brennen, I think we are getting close to that goal. However due to recent gold issues within the realm of the alliance, there is talk about a half merge with another allaince in order to help us rebuild. Which would be a shame.

Claire: Yes, it would…is it just gold issues, or are you having military issues as well?

Shanna: We are not having military issues, on the contrary we have too much military within our alliance. Our defence is extrememly good, and since forming the alliance, we have only lost 2 BS’s. However our Scholars got hit by some major TRG which caused them to be highly effected. A couple more scholar players or a few more scholars for each of our current scholar players and the gold issues would be solved

Claire: And one last question…how can you see you alliance growing and developing in the future, and what affect (if any) can you see it having on KOTW?

Shanna: The alliance will grow slowly as we build our relations inside the alliance. We feel it is important to have a good friendship, as well as a good stragegy. Trust is an important issue within the alliance too. We have talked about allowing smaller alliances to merge with us, however each alliance descion is decided through the group vote if our administration team agrees its for the best of the alliance. We strive and will continue to strive to show KOTW our best defence and attack strategies. We intend to hit kotw with what will be KOTW”s largest suprise within time. I can not give a time limit as it takes time to build a strategy :o) and defence plans. However from the enemies our alliance has made, i think we will continue to have an impact in helping now

KOTW see what fun is all about. As we are up to the challanges of 4 different alliances going up against us.

There has been speculation as to whether or not Kriss Lawson will (after the roll back today) give his gold up to Nicho again.  Well, Kriss just answered that…

I am tickled and somewhat honoured by some of the remarks regarding my relinquishing the throne in favour of Nicho… I have to say thanks to all that have made comments… After the rollback (sounds like Asda) lol… I will again transfer the required gold to ensure that Sam’s wish for her Prince, Nicho to become King is realised… I’m not sure if this sort of thing has ever been done b4 within the game, or will again (untill after recalc today…lol) but I am happy to keep my promise and watch Nicho continue to stamp his mark on the game, not only as a great and honourable warrior but as a truly deserving King…
